Let’s explore why these areas deserve your attention and could be your next smart property move.
Why Austral and Leppington Are Making Headlines
Austral and Leppington are rapidly transforming in 2025, driven by the Western Sydney Airport and major infrastructure projects like Leppington Town Centre and the Aerotropolis. Improved roads, new business parks, and affordable housing attract young families, professionals, and investors. With larger blocks and a semi-rural charm, these suburbs offer strong growth potential.
Infrastructure and Amenities

Life is getting better and better in these suburbs! The new Leppington High School gives kids a great place to learn, and it’s now much quicker to get around thanks to better transport. You’ll find everything you need nearby, with more shops, parks, and places to hang out popping up all the time.
There’s always something fun happening here – from the bustling Austral Fresh Markets (where over 5,000 people come to shop and mingle every week!) to fitness classes and yoga in the parks. Soon, families will love the new Austral Central Park with its fun water play areas and sports facilities.
Just keep in mind that there’s still some construction going on, which might be a bit noisy at times, and we’ll need to wait until 2025-2030 for some of the planned features to be ready. But that’s just part of watching our community grow!
Future Development and Growth
Great news! The Liverpool City Council has big plans for our area from 2025-2030. They’re building an exciting new shopping center in Leppington that will cost $250 million. You’ll find lots of shops, places to eat, and fun things to do there. Big stores like Woolworths, Coles, and Aldi are already planning to open up!
Getting around is going to be much easier too. They’re spending $180 million to make Fifteenth Avenue bigger with four lanes, and $120 million on extending Edmondson Avenue. This means you’ll be able to get to Western Sydney Airport much faster – saving about 25 minutes! Plus, there will be new bike paths, walking tracks, and better public transport.
For everyone who loves the outdoors, the council is creating beautiful new green spaces – covering an area as big as 50 football fields! The new Austral Central Park will have water play areas for the kids, sports facilities, and lovely gardens. Along Leppington Creek, they’re building a fantastic 5km park where you can go for walks and enjoy nature.
